The scanner carefully analyses your teeth and jaws to create a virtual 3D model of your mouth. For us, this is one of the biggest benefits of having the iTero Digital Scanner as it allows us to simulate the movement of your teeth, so you will be able to see exactly what your smile could look like before your treatment has even begun.
3D simulation: Your detailed 3D scan can be used in conjunction with a simulator to show what your new smile could look like during, and at the end of your treatment.
Fast: You can view your 3D model on screen with your orthodontist, as it’s created in real-time. iTero scans can also facilitate faster delivery times of your Invisalign treatment plan.
Comfortable: No messy impression material is needed. There’s no unpleasant taste or smell and you can breathe as normal.
Accuracy: A detailed and precise 3D model of your teeth and gums is created. This can replace the more manual method of taking impressions.
This change will allow us to communicate with you more effectively and ensure that you are always kept in the loop when it comes to your dental care.
CEREC is the world’s only system for the fabrication of all-ceramic dental restorations in one visit. No impressions are necessary, as the 3-D scan allows the restoration to be designed and manufactured with a computer and CADCAM milling unit. With CEREC at your dentist’s side, you can be in and out in a single visit with a permanent, all-ceramic crown, inlay, onlay, or veneer! For you, the patient, this means fewer injections, less drilling, and less time out of your hectic schedule for dental care.
T-Scan is a bite analysis instrument, which allows us to accurately measure and analyze your bite. A sensor is placed in your mouth and a movie is recorded of the biting process. T-Scan allows us to identify the exact order of teeth contacts through the computer on a real-time basis. This allows us to adjust your bite to a degree of precision never before attainable.
Quick Ceph Studio is the most respected name in orthodontic diagnosis and treatment planning software. It allows us to analyse x-rays and study casts accurately, and relate the information to photographs of the patient’s face. Furthermore, the software allows us to morph photographs in order to predict facial changes that are likely to occur as a result of different treatment approaches, whether orthodontic or surgical.
We use digital radiography for all our x-rays. This speeds up the process, as there is no need to wait for films to be developed, and the radiation dose to the patient is reduced. Digital radiography also allows more precise measurements for procedures such as implants, endodontic treatment and orthodontics. Our advanced radiographic equipment enables us to merge x-ray information with photographs of the patient’s face and analyse this with Quick Ceph Studio.
We have our own in-house CBCT scanner, providing accurate 3D scanning and treatment planning for our own patients and other dentists who refer to us for this service. CBCT scans are especially useful for dental implant treatment planning as all measurements are absolute (unlike conventional x-rays, where distortion can occur),so the exact amount of bone available is known prior to surgery, and the location of anatomical features such as nerves and sinuses can be marked out in three dimensions.
